About Us
WHY CHOOSE THE FRONT PORCH?
Upon taking over management of the community, the new owners wanted to begin building community involvement. That started with a new name. We held a naming contest for a new name to fit an updated community. The winning name perfectly fit our goals and aspirations.
We want to be more than just a retirement community. We want to be a place for our elders to come and relax and reflect on a life well-lived. The idea of sitting on a front porch in the fall, and chatting with your beloved grandparents is exactly the type of community vibe we want to create. A place where people are family, and can come to continue to live a fulfilling and vibrant life.
The first Public Benefit Senior Living Corporation in Georgia!
Owners and managers must work to achieve this purpose and therefore they have the flexibility to make decisions that balance profits with social causes and environmental responsibility. In January of 2021, Georgia and Alabama formally enacted legislation that allowed for benefit corporations to be created.
Front Porch of Bowdon was formed in 2022 and thus became the first Public Benefits Senior Living Corporation in Georgia. Our ethics and values are are hard coded into our operations. We seek to utilize the power of business to give us flexibility and allow us to grow, but also allow us to further our goals of social good. Our ethics are fundamental to our organization and is at the core of our operations.
